Shine Select Lacrosse
FAQ
☀ The answers before you ask
What is the refund policy?
Shine Select Lacrosse does not offer payment refunds once a team roster has been set for a season. When you accept an invitation and roster spot, the team is relying on your player's commitment — and your family's support of that commitment.
Certain situations, such as injury or relocation, may be reviewed by our Directors. Submit your request in writing to directors@shineselectlax.com. In most situations, any refund considered will depend on the club filling the vacated roster spot with another paying player. All decisions made by our Directors are final.
What are the annual club fees?
Our club fees vary for each season and each team. Fees are established from team-specific budgets, since teams have different schedules and agendas.
We offer a payment plan for the annual season commitment and work with all families to the best of our abilities on any financial hurdles.
How do I coach for Shine Select?
Anyone interested in coaching or volunteering with on-field activities at Shine Select Lacrosse should contact krista@shineselectlax.com.
How are concussion injuries handled?
Shine Select Lacrosse takes concussion injuries very seriously. All coaches are required to complete a concussion awareness course annually, and all parents are required to read and acknowledge our concussion protocols through every registration.
How does the club communicate?
Shine Select Lacrosse uses the LeagueApps email system as our primary means of communication.
We also use SportsYou, with teams set up for coaches, players, and parents — covering all team-related communications, calendars, and media like files and pictures.
Where do teams practice?
Shine Select Lacrosse fields players from across all of Florida, attracting the best talent and building highly competitive teams. Our players train and develop with quality coaching regionally, then come together for routine team training days at a central location.
We currently have three main hubs — Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa — and work closely with our associate and sister clubs in other regional satellite areas.
How big are the rosters?
Shine Select Lacrosse fields competitive teams with roster sizes between 18 and 22 players, with goalies capped at 2 per team.
